Setting your email account up in Outlook Express


Choose Tools, Accounts in the Outlook Express Menu

 


Select the "Mail" Tab to view existing accounts.


Choose Add, Mail to create a new account

 


Type in your name, then click next.

 


Type in your email address, then click next.

 


Fill the boxes in below exactly as they are here, then click next.

 


Enter your email address and your password in the boxes, then click next



A new window will appear, click "Finish"

You will then have created your new account.

 


A new account should appear as you see it here.


Select your new account, then click properties.


Click the Servers tab, then tick My Server Requires Authentication.


Click OK.


Click Close.


To Collect your mail, click the "send and receive" button, this checks for new messages on your email account.
A good way to test that you've done everything correctly is to now send yourself a short test email.
